DRAFT — pending review by U.S. counsel. Not in effect.

AI Assistant (Naia)

Version US-0.2-DRAFT · October 12, 2026

1. What Naia is

Naia is an assistant generated by artificial intelligence, with a video avatar and a voice. She is not a person and not a doctor. She does not give medical advice or diagnoses, and she can be wrong. Do not rely on her for decisions about your health.

Naia speaks English and Spanish. She greets you, listens and answers in the language of the app, which you can change in Account. For now she may not understand you if you speak to her in the other language.

2. Your permission

Naia shares information with the AI companies in section 6, so she only starts after you accept a separate permission in the app. The permission screen lists those companies and what they receive. If you tap “Not now”, you can keep using the app and scanning without Naia.

When you accept, we keep a record of your permission: the date, the version of the text, and the IP address and user agent of the device. You can turn Naia off at any time in Account. Turning her off withdraws your permission for your whole account. She turns off right away on the phone where you turn her off. On your other phones, she no longer starts from the next time the app checks your account (a conversation with her that is already open on another phone goes on until you leave it or it times out). From that check on, she does not start until you accept the permission again. If your phone is offline when you turn her off, the permission stays on your account until the app reaches us: the app sends the withdrawal the next time it checks your account while you are still signed in on the phone where you turned her off. If you sign out, uninstall the app or clear its data before then, the withdrawal may never reach your account; turn her off again in Account once you are online. We keep the record of your permission and of its withdrawal: the date, and the IP address and user agent of the device.

3. Family members and teens 13 to 17

Your permission also covers the family members you scan on your Family plan, including your children 13 to 17. By accepting it, you authorize the AI assistant for them as the account holder and, for your children 13 to 17, as their parent or legal guardian. Naia can then receive what they say to her and their scan results, as described in section 5. Children under 13 cannot be scanned.

4. Where Naia appears

  • When you prepare a doctor consultation, to help you describe the reason for your visit.
  • On the results screen after each scan, including a “Scan only” scan and the scans of the family members you scan.

5. What Naia processes

  • What you say through the microphone while Naia is active, and its transcription.
  • The text of the conversation and Naia’s replies.
  • The context she receives: the reason and symptoms you enter when you prepare a consultation, the scan results on your screen, the language of the app and the screen you are on.

6. Providers

  • Simli (Norway) and Daily: Naia’s video avatar and the live audio connection.
  • Deepgram: turns what you say into text.
  • DeepSeek (China): the language model that writes her replies.
  • ElevenLabs: her voice.

[Countries where Daily, Deepgram and ElevenLabs process data, each provider’s retention and its contractual protections: to be completed by U.S. counsel.]

Doc24hrs stores and processes data outside the United States, including in Mexico. See the Privacy Policy.

7. Limits in the United States

There are no doctors in the Doc24hrs app in the United States. Naia can help you prepare a consultation, but the waiting room is a demo and no doctor joins. She cannot book appointments, prescribe or connect you with a doctor.

If you are thinking about suicide or are in emotional crisis, call or text 988, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (help is also available in Spanish). In an emergency, call 911.

8. Reporting a response

If something Naia says is wrong, harmful or inappropriate, tap “Report response” in her panel. The report includes the reason you choose, your comment if you write one, what Naia said if you choose to include it, the screen, the language and the app version, and your account identifier if you are signed in. It reaches Doc24hrs’ support team by email, and we review every report.

9. Microphone

The app asks for microphone permission for Naia. If you deny it, Naia cannot hear you. The scan itself does not use the microphone. You can change this at any time in your phone settings.
